Gwin Scott has served as President/Founder of Uvision Media, a roll-up entity of Uvision, Inc, which is a full service technology solutions provider that focuses on streaming video and audio, webcasting for internal communications, interactive dvd production, development of group collaboration tools, and hardware/software consulting to Fortune 500 and media companies, inclusive of customers such as Verizon, Bank of NY, and Paul McCartney’s Back to the USA tour and strategic alliances with Macromedia and Reflect Systems. Mr. Scott’s experience and background has been heavily weighted in Sales & Marketing and Business & Strategic Development within the media, high-tech, and international sectors over the last 17 years. Before joining Uvision Media, Mr. Scott was Director of Sales for Williams Communications/Wiltel, the largest, fully lit, next generation fiber optic network in the US that delivers broadband network services. www.wiltel.com. Under his product sales portfolio included streaming video and audio, online subscription, PPV, and DRM solutions, classic Vyvx video transmission services, dedicated internet access, digital media management, and teleport/satellite/IP services—all targeting the telecommunications, cable and broadcast industries.

Prior to this, Williams bought iBeam Broadcasting, the leading streaming media network and CDN provider. Here Mr. Scott headed up Sales in the Eastern Region, as one of the first members of the sales team, responsible for the distribution of all streaming applications, such as online ad insertion, interactive webcasting, encoding, and corporate communications. He was responsible for acquiring such high-profile customers as MTVi, VH1, The Golf Channel, Bellsouth, Cartoon Network, Warner Music, Bravo Networks, and Sportvision with sales revenues totaling $3,000,000. Other strategic relationships where key roles were cultivated involved Keynote, Streamcheck, Arbitron, Scale 8, Doubleclick, Engage, Virage, Microsoft, and Sonic Foundry.

Before joining iBEAM, Mr. Scott worked at Turner Broadcasting/Time Warner for 10 years. www.timewarner.com During this time, he served in various roles associated with the sales, business development, and distribution of Turner's many cable networks including CNN, CNNSportsIllustrated, Headline News, TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies and CNNFinancial. In this role, most of the focus was in dealing with cable/MSO partners, such as Cox Cable, AT&T/TCI, Comcast, Adelphia, and Cablevision, working on distribution, affiliate relations, and contract negotiations, encompassing deal/revenue value of $50,000,000. For 3 years, he was Vice President Sales - Asia Pacific for Turner International, based in Sydney, Australia, where he had P-L/revenue responsibilities of $12,000,000. Regional duties ( covering Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Pacific Islands), included the cable, broadcast, syndication, satellite, radio, and hotel markets with such customers, as Optus, Foxtel, United International Holdings (UIH), Galaxy, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Channels 7, 9, and 10, TV New Zealand, Sky TV of NZ, Indovision, RCTI, SCTV, and Measat—where extensive corporate development was the priority, since many of these areas were underdeveloped and just launching their cable/broadcast operations.

Mr. Scott received a BA in Marketing at the University of Mississippi where he was a member of the varsity tennis team. He is currently serving on the Advisory Board of the Business School where the group helps with fundraising, corporate relationships for internships and job placements, and mentoring to undergraduate, MBA, and PHd students. Additionally, he is on the National Alumni board at Ole Miss. Previous board participation has included the Atlantic Cable Show Committee, the Washington Cable Council, CASBAA (Cable & Satellite of Asia), CTAM of Texas, and the Cable TV Association of Oklahoma. Scott also has interests in worldwide traveling, mountain climbing( having summitted peaks in 5 of the 7 continents), and writing poetry.
